personal blog of an amateur writer. welcome!

There’s too much noise.

I have deleted (or I should say, initiated the process-since it takes a full 30 days to complete) my personal Instagram account. Perhaps there will be a reemergence of a dedicated Instagram account for this blog, which has graced the eyes of dozens of individuals around the world (my gratitude to each person, sincerely). In this modern society, one almost has to sell their soul to the oligarchic elite in order to be noticed. I’m sick to death of “content creators” and others who just contribute to the din that is the only looped soundtrack of this, the modern era.

The written word and the human voice-this is the original “content creation.” Committing thoughts, information, laws, procedures, passions and such to stone tablet, papyrus, scroll, codex, and printed book is the heritage to which I ascribe. For too long have I been treading water in a tumultuous sea of slop.

I may dive back in, so to speak, with my social media presence. I may, I may not. Social media is an instrument, much as a torch. It can cast light and allow one to see their surroundings, such as seeing photos and updates from friends and family. It can also set ablaze one’s surroundings if there’s too much contact with a combustible material. And the light of the torch itself can cause one to lose sight of actual light and the reality around them.

Enough of this. Done and done.
